Project 2

For this project we had to edit different shots (good shot folder), to a 50 second film. We were provided with the different shots and then had a reference to cut it down to 50 seconds. Furthermore, we had to colorcorrect it with a reference.

The film was cut down to 50,3 seconds and you can see my editing on the picture below.

Then the video had to be colorcorrected. I applied some basic edits, such as exposure, contrast etc. I added a black vignette effect to match the reference picture as much as possible.

Week 5


Horror Movie - Are Demo Reel 

In this object we were split into 2 groups, and I was in the group who had to do the Horror Version of Ake Demo Reel. We were given different roles in the project, we had to shoot it together and then edit it individually.

PREPRODUCTION

This is the original video, with all the different versions in it. This were our different roles in this project:

Assistant Director - Senta
Art Director - Angie
Assistant Art Director - Julie
Director Photography - Farah
Camera Operators- Christine , Abby
Lighting- Kim
Sound - Gordon
Actor (Pa)-  Daryl
Actor (Main Character)- Eunice

We were given a storyboard so we had a reference during filming. 





PRODUCTION

We chose a location on campus to film in, at the afternoon so the lightning would be better. The Filming took place in the drawing room from 7pm to 12:30 am. Here is some of the photos taken during the different scenes.

POSTPRODUCTION


After the filming the videos were shared and then individually editing began. I used Premiere Pro to edit the different clips and to color correct it. I then used to Audition to edit the different soundclips. In Audtion i used parametric equaliser to edit some of the general sounds, and I used noise reduction as well.

Final touches

This is my final result of the editing of the Horror. The biggest challenge was to mask out the legs and to match the sound effect with the perfect timing (when it's zoomed in on the soap).
